Mountain Rescue Commemoration 20.09.26 

Mountain Rescue died early Tuesday 21st July 2026, after a severe stroke last Saturday. He was 87.

To celebrate and commemorate Richard’s long and extraordinary contribution to hashing; Dickhead, Silvier, Yorkie and Yellow Peril are organising a celebration of his life and contribution to hashing with a trail at 1100 hrs on Sunday 20th September 2026. This will be held at the fff Brewery, Four Marks.

Even though Richard decided to hang up his boots some years back, rather typically, he carried on hashing. It was always a pleasure to see him at subsequent runs, most recently at the Deepcut run on Chobham Water Meadows less than 3 weeks ago https://www.dh3.org/run-reports/671
